As someone living in NYC and having to move their parked car every other day to not get ticketed, I can confidently tell you that parking is sacred. You cannot just park, as if the laws of the road do not apply to you. It can literally ignite a brawl… I've seen it! Sure, some cities do the whole chair-saver thing, and others just don't have a problem finding parking. When you live somewhere like that, you're likely not going to have as many bad parking situations because you have a lot of parking available. But that means when you do encounter one, it is extra bad.
When someone parks in a spot that ruins everyone else's day, even though they had ample opportunities not to do that, it hits extra hard. It feels like they parked there because they were itching for some conflict. Well, buddy, in this case, you were most definitely the conflict.
